This can be a little tricky for those of us not use to fighting against earth’s gravity knowingly (the magnetic base) At first it almost seems impossible that these two drawing attractions will meet to create a perfect magnetic attraction, once it does you will be marveled for hours.
Have we mentioned how long the moon levitates for? …. No? Shame on us! Like most gravitational connections our moon lamp will continue to levitate until instructed otherwise by a loss of power to the base or you physically breaking the connection. While this connection can last forever it’s good to give the electrical elements in your moon lamp a break every 8-24 hours. This will give you the chance to get more familiar with making the connection to the base effortless. Trust me this is awe inspiring party trick your friends and family will revel at. ;)
Multiple size options and plug types
We know that it can be hard to select the size without knowing the proportions. That’s why we have included this helpful comparison image so you can see how big our smallest moon is in comparison to our biggest option. Since we have customers from all around the word we knew it would e important to offer a variety of plug types so you won’t have to fumble with unreliable adaptors.
The following sizes are available:
- 8 cm, 10 cm, 12cm, 15cm, 18cm, 20cm

How does the moon lamp levitate?
The Moon Lamp is able to float using maglev technology. It hovers an inch away from the magnetic base while transferring energy to the nearby lamp.
As long as the Moon Lamp is suspended in the magnetic connection, the lamp will be lit. The lack of friction means that one spin can last for hours. If you prefer the lamp to be still then simply put your hand on the moon for a moment to keep it still.
This means you can have the lamp on while studying for your astrophysics exam, mapping out a new design or simply to show others the marvel of modern based living.
